Today is exactly 1 month since my mother left. It’s also her birthday. Happy birthday, mum. She would be turning 54 years. She died of breast cancer. And she was my cheerleader and my biggest client.
I relocated from the village to Nairobi for studies at Vera beauty college and stayed in Nairobi for work. My mother would regularly visit me in Nairobi. In February this year, she came just for another visit. But this was an unordinary visit because she never got to go back to her home, not alive anyway.
Due to her illness, she had extreme fatigue, swollen feet, sleeping problems, etc. I regularly gave her a back massage, shoulder massage, or foot massage. And she slept better if not sleep while getting the massage.
She was a beautiful woman but chemotherapy made her lose sensitivity in her hands and feet. Her skin also had darkened. A foot scrub, pedicure, and manicure always lifted her moods and confidence. She loved weaves and often got a nice weave still without leaving the apartment. I used to do barber services, and when her hair started falling, I am actually the one who shaved her hair. She would say her head felt cold and covered it with a nice wig or headscarf.
I know that she loved getting pampered and getting gifts. She was also a very generous soul and loved to give gifts and visit people.
Let’s spread the love, everywhere. And yes, a mum-in-law also does qualify to be pampered. Our mothers are winners and deserve to receive some love. Book your mother the “mama hamper package” today and let her be pampered without any stress of leaving her comfort.
The mama’s hamper package includes:
- Express facial
- Gel pedicure
- Gel manicure
